MELBOURNE, Feb 9 AAP - Deputy Premier and minister for racing Rob Hulls will on Wednesday announce a major funding boost for the MawSafe plastic running rails rollout, a project set to revolutionise safety within the Victorian thoroughbred racing industry.

The project is part of the Regional Racing Infrastructure Fund partnership between the state government, Racing Victoria Limited (RVL) and Country Racing Victoria (CRV).

Creator of the plastic running rail, Dan Mawby, along with champion jockey Craig Williams will demonstrate the safety features of the new rail at Global Barrier Systems in Dandenong South at 9am (AEDT).
