The Queensland Carnival continues to build with three Listed races headlining Saturday's Eagle Farm card.

READ: Rosehill Preview & Tips - $71 value play

This track should suit NORTHERN DECREE (9) which appreciated being ridden off the speed last start and rounded them up. He carries the same weight, is likely to get a similar tempo and with Vlad Duric staying on a repeat is on the cards.

SOLAR APEX (1) has a decent impost but the 3kg claim for Jake Molloy helps and he wasn't far away in a stronger race here last start. He lacks dash but a good gate helps and he won't be far away in running.

CONNECTICUT (7) is getting plenty of racing but has thrived since coming North. He was used up mid-race last week but Kyle Wilson Taylor won on him two starts back with a positive ride and he drops 3.5kg.

DARK HARMONY (4) is yet to be tried at this trip but is now at peak fitness with four runs under his belt and there is stamina in the dam's side of his pedigree. He likes to run them along and given his way in front can be hard to run down.

Verdict - NORTHERN DECREE (9) to go on with it.

A field of journeymen but this is BAK DA MAN (7)'s trip and with HADOUKEN (5) in the field he should get a solid enough tempo. He gave too much start at Doomben but back on the bigger track Robbie Dolan can round them up.

SHEZADANDI (10) doesn't win out of turn but she came from a wide gate to beat all but BAK DA MAN (7) two starts back and meets him 4.5kg better. From a good gate she draws to do no work and will get her chance.

A DEEL OF HUMOUR (4) is a mare in form and was beaten less than a length in a similar field last start at Doomben. She won here three starts back and will hit the line.

TAPILDOODLEDO (1)'s last win was a Group 2 at Rosehill over a year ago. He has struggled since but his best efforts come here and there was improvement at his most recent outing. Blinkers come off and this may be his time of year.

Verdict - Nothing would surprise but BAK DA MAN (7) suited track and distance.

An inexperienced group but winning form counts and OVERFULL (4) showed promise at her first preparation. She has been readied by a recent trial, a good gate helps and will get every chance with Jag Guthmann-Chester.

BRUTAL BOWLER (5)'s dam was a good racemare and he was dominant at a recent trial. The gate tests but Kris Lees and Andrew Mallyon have a long association and he will know what to do.

The gate also tests SUPERALLOY (1) which has been gelded since his gallant second to Mishani Aloha in the Aquis Jewel. He won a recent Toowoomba trial and Angela Jones will put him in contention.

HAMILTON BROWN (2) started at Winx odds on the Gold Coast poly but got it done quite comfortably on debut. He has improvement and will be prominent.

Verdict - Watch the market but going with OVERFULL (4).

Some of these met a fortnight ago and the resuming POETIC DRAMA (8) was rounding them up late finishing just off the stablemates Sonora and BRENTWOOD (1). She gives them a start but this is her best track and is two from two at the trip.

BRENTWOOD (1) has plenty of weight and did everything but win when run down by the stablemate at Doomben. He had a veterinary issue here two starts back but his overall form has been consistent and will get every chance with Jim Orman.

The stablemate BLAZEN BOOTS (18) put the writing on the wall last start at Doomben. He drops back in trip but is better suited on the bigger track, drops 2kg and Ryan Maloney knows when to press the button,

Ciaron Maher begins his Winter assault with SCENTIFY (5) which has found the top three-year-olds beyond him at recent outings but will be more comfortable against these benchmark horses. Visors go back on, his best efforts come when fresh and from the good gate Robbie Dolan will give him every chance.

Verdict - Some value with POETIC DRAMA (8).

The speed map favours NED'S GULLY (6) which just missed last start after being held up into the straight and won an Open Handicap here three starts back. This trip may be his limit but he draws to sit handy and will be given every chance by Mark Du Plessis.

NASHIRA (10) has been improved by two outings but can do plenty wrong at the start. He has won three times here previously and if Kyle Wilson-Taylor can avoid strife will be in the finish.

BETTCHA THE CROWN (7) has been freshened since just missing in a Class 6 at the Gold Coast. An improving four-year-old he has a good first-up record and with not much speed in this, Cejay Graham can take the bull by the horns.

NEVER NO MORE (3) mixes his form and was never in it at Doomben though there were excuses after being held up in the straight. He has raced well at tis track previously, placing at Listed level and a repeat has him in the finish.

Verdict - NED'S GULLY (6) gets the best run.

Some smart Queensland three-year-olds here starting their Winter campaign. SKIRT THE LAW (7) didn't win last preparation but was racing in black-type company in Victoria. A Magic Millions winner, she was dominant in a recent trial and class tells.

PARTY FOR TWO (8) returned to her best in the QTIS Jewel and was dominant in a recent trial. She is poorly drawn but has won twice at the trip and has the speed to cross.

ABOUNDING (6) proved her class winning the Magic Millions Guineas and while this trip looks too short she has a good first-up record, trialled well and can hit the line.

MALABOOM (10) was run down late here last start and while this is harder will strip fitter and get every chance with Jim Orman.

Verdict - SKIRT THE LAW (7) to resume a winner.

A very strong sprint and they will be taking no prisoners early. BLUE SPINEL (9) was too good at both outings last preparation and has built an impressive record of five wins from her past seven starts. With a trial under her belt she draws to do no work, a strong speed suits and she can collar them late.

FRILLED (7) brings Sydney form and has been freshened by two trials after being run down at both outings since resuming. Gates are important from this start and with Jim Orman she gets all the favours.

SHALAA'S MOMENT (12) gives them a start but has a powerful finish over this trip and was dominant last outing. This is harder but she drops 5kg and will be charging late.

HARDWARE LANE (3) is resuming and showed he was up to this class last preparation. He goes well fresh, has had jumpouts at the Gold Coast and will get every chance with Justin Huxtable.

Verdict - BLUE SPINEL (9) gets the gun run.

Southern form trumps Queensland and JIMMYSSTAR (5) has been freshened after never seeing daylight at Newcastle last start. He steps up to 1600m for the first time but has stamina on the dam's side. A winner of five of his past seven outings, he is here for a purpose and will be hard to beat.

OVERRIDING (8) is an improving mare that has won five of eleven and was too good in Saturday grade at Newcastle last start. From a good gate she will get all the favours with Kyle Wilson-Taylor.

Fitter for two outings, blinkers come off WILLIAMSBURG (4) and a nose roll goes on. He hasn't won for 81 weeks but will find this easier than NSW Group 3s, has won twice at the trip and will get every chance with Jim Orman.

OSCAR ZULU (3) is another that hasn't won for a long time but his recent Doomben efforts have been sound. This bigger track suits and ridden handy by Jim Byrne he can be in the finish.

Verdict - JIMMYSSTAR (8) to shine.

Some talented ones here and all looking to play a part in the Winter Carnival. AMAZONIAN LASS (1) is here on an Oaks campaign and has trialled thrice since January. She placed in the Edward Manifold during the spring, won on debut over 1100m and Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott will have her ready to go, With a positive ride from Ryan Maloney she will be hard to pass.

FIRESTORM (11) only got clear late and ran on to just miss the placings in a Group 3 at Randwick last start. That stacks up well for this and with Mark Du Plessis she will be hard to hold out.

OCEANS OF ENERGY (6) beat a few of these last start, is fitter for two outings and will relish this trip. She benefited from a positive ride last outing and with a similar effort from Kyle Wilson-Taylor will be in the finish.

EXOTIQUE MISS (2) is on the quick back-up after fighting them all off to win the Daybreak Lover last week. She has drawn the carpark and steps up to 1600m but is a tough filly and may be up to it.

Verdict - AMAZONIAN LASS (1) for me.
